The key instrument is laser elemental analyzer LEA-S500 which identifies the elemental (chemical) composition of various solid and powdery materials (natural raw materials, glass, ceramics, metal, and plastic). LEA-S500 is also necessary for the control of impurities and inclusions at all stages of production, as well as for elemental studies of new types of glass-fiber materials. A laser is used as a source of excitation of spectra in LEA-S500 (an alternative to X-ray radiation and inductively coupled plasma). The two-pulse nanosecond laser excitation source of the spectra ensures maximum reproducibility of the аnalysis results, allows to achieve record-low limits for the detection of elements and linearity of concentration dependences in a wide range, and ensures accurate and reliable measurements.
Specialists of higher scientific qualification and engineering staff will work on the laboratory equipment. Modern facilities of Polotsk-Fiberglass OJSC allow producing up to 57 thousand tons of four types of fiberglass.
