PPPT-8: VIII International Conference PLASMA PHYSICS AND PLASMA TECHNOLOGY

VIII International Conference on Plasma Physics and Plasma Technology (PPPT-8), which in 2015 was held in Minsk from 14th to 18th of September, was organized and sponsored by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, SOL instruments, the al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and other significant universities and foundations. Over 120 scientists from 12 countries took part in PPPT-8. The scientific program of the conference included invited lectures, oral presentations, poster presentations, and discussions on the following topics:

  • Electrical and optical discharges, elementary and near-electrode processes;
  • Transport, optical, and thermodynamic properties of plasma;
  • Generation and interaction of concentrated energy fluxes with a surface;
  • Non-ideal and dusty plasmas, as well as plasma applications.

SOL instruments Ltd, as the official sponsor of the event and the participant of the oral session, presented the report on the topic “Devices for plasma spectroscopy produced by SOL instruments”.
