XX symposium “Nanophysics and Nanoelectronics”: March 2016, Nizhny Novgorod

Dear colleagues and partners! The XX International Anniversary Symposium “Nanophysics and Nanoelectronics”, held from 14 to 18 March 2016 in Nizhny Novgorod, continued regular discussions on topical issues in such areas as the physics of semiconductor nanostructures, X-ray optics and scanning probe microscopy. The event was attended by all research groups in Russia, actively working in these fields, and by many scientists from abroad. The scientific thematic of the symposium covered a wide range of subjects of the Condensed Matter Physics, which relevance is dictated by the large number of papers published in this field in RF and abroad. This trend is one of the priority directions of science, technology and engineering in Russian Federation. On the whole, many plenary, oral and poster sessions were organized in different areas.

In the session “Semiconductor structures” SOL instruments senior engineer, Ph.D. Sergej Shashkov made an interesting report on the topical subject “Raman Microscopy with High Spatial Resolution for Semiconductor Applications”.
