E-MRS 2024: Spring Meeting in Strasbourg is a reflection of the recent advances in material science

From 27 to 31 May 2024, Strasbourg will host the Spring Meeting of the European Materials Research
Society (E-MRS), organized with the support of the Jean-Marie Lehn Foundation. This event is a platform
for discussing the latest scientific advances in the field of materials science and includes both a
conference and an exhibition.

Our company actively participates in E-MRS 2024 Spring Meeting :

On May 27 at the Symposium ALTECH 2024 – Analytical techniques for accurate nanoscale
characterization of advanced materials- Sergey Shashkov from SOL instruments will present the
advanced method of Raman microscopy, which can be used to determine mechanical stresses in various
silicon structures.
To achieve high spectral resolution this method utilizes a long-focus spectrograph with an Eschelle
grating operating in high diffraction orders. The fully automated system makes the measurement
process more efficient and user-friendly, it has been successfully applied to obtain high spatial
resolution Raman images of various structured silicon samples. It is also worth noting that the system
provides the ability to be integrated with atomic force microscopes (AFMs), which further improves
spatial resolution and enables imaging below the diffraction limit.

From May 28 to 30, 2024 SOL instruments invites you to visit our Booth No 45, which will take place in
the frames of E-MRS Spring Meeting 2024. We’ll demonstrate operation of the confocal Raman
microscope Confotec MR200 , which combines high precision measurements and speed of operation
and is ideal for a wide range of applications.
